Charleston Harbor Taxi Service

JGT planned and designed two docking
facilities for a harbor taxi service linking Patriots Point in Mt.
Pleasant to downtown Charleston. Each facility consists of a timber fixed
dock and concrete floating dock for boarding. As a public transportation
facility, barrier-free access was critical in the design and was
incorporated through the use of long gangways and varying elevations and
freeboards.
The taxi service has been in operation
since 1995.
