Braxton Kyzer
When you are not working:
I like to read financial, historical, and
preservation articles and magazines.
However, there is nothing more satisfying than
pulling out the power tools and building something.
Family:
Married 44 years to wife Merle.
We have two children: a daughter, Beth Chubb
married to Tim; a son, Bradley married to Rebecca: and four
grandchildren: Maddie (5), and Cade (3) Kyzer, and Braxton (5) and Megan
(2) Chubb.
Hometown:
Born in Lexington, SC and raised
in
Greenwood, SC.
Most of my adult life has been in
Charleston
SC
About Me:
These days, the epicenter of my life revolves around the Grand Kids.
Merle likes to keep each set at least one
day a week; however, between sickness, Dr.’s appointments, conflicts
with work, it usually ends up taking most of the week, not to mention
the weekends, which Merle insists that the kids need some time by
themselves to get things done.
Since we see the Grand’s quite often, everything
they have at home must be repeated at our house; therefore, I cannot
walk w/o tripping over toys, or find anything w/o moving children’s
stuff.
There are children’s clothes in every
closet, in most of the drawers, on every bed, and on every doorknob.
Nothing gets thrown away at our house.
Pack and play is a misnomer, it has become
a permanent obstacle, designed to hang things on or serve as another
storage area.
The big revelation about being a Grand Dad
is: there are no limit on the amount of money a Grand Mother can spend
seeing to it that the basic needs of her Grand Children are met.
To Wit, Life is wonderful and I am blessed.
