A major landholder in Horry County desired to develop a master plan for a land parcel covering over 3,000 acres. In order to get agreement with the County for a long-term "development agreement", the landholder had to address recreation responsibilities of the development and the County needs for the area. JGT was tasked to meet with the County staff, review County studies and City of Myrtle Beach recreation studies as well as meet with representatives of County Council and the County Engineer to develop a regional conceptual master plan that satisfied current County needs and met the regional planning criteria for the City of Myrtle Beach and Horry County.
